  • You bet. Right within the SpeedGrader tool, you can provide audio and video feedback. To my knowledge, there is no time limit on the recording, either.

    • But does Canvas provide this feature for creating videos for announcements or when answering questions?

      • Ah, I see. When creating announcements for videos, you will still need to use a third party tool, like Loom or Screen-cast-o-matic. When providing feedback, the ability to provide audio and video feedback is available.

        • There are instructions for taking announcements from Brightspace, but it is confusing to me relative to transferring the video that exists. I assume this is not possible. I wonder if there is a way to convert these videos to Kutura (not sure of the spelling) or if one is better off beginning anenw with one of your recommendations?

          • If your media lives outside of I-Learn, then you are fine. For example, if you have a Jing, Loom, or YouTube video, then those videos actually live outside of I-Learn. When you copy the HTML code, those videos will come over. If you have uploaded a video into I-Learn, then you have to upload that video into Canvas. It won't transfer just by copying the code from Brightspace.

            Does this help?

            • Thank Brad - Since I will be teaching B361 one more time in Brightspace, now might be a good time to start making new videos for use with Canvas.

  • Yes, it does
