Canvas Question -

Is it possible to have the 'Mark as Done' button at the bottom by the 'Next' bottom?  On pages with a lot of information, I forget to go back to the top to mark 'done'.  Or I find myself thinking "Oh no, now I have to scroll all the way to top again to 'Mark as Done'".

  • So, we need to inform our students that if they want to see their progress in the course with the checkmarks, they will have to do that themselves (not automatically as in Brightspace), page by page?

    • Not necessarily. It is possible to set the completion status to viewing only. It just depends on how your course is setup.

  • it helped me to double check in the "Module" view which showed if I had skipped checking "Done"

It has "completed all..." that will show a green checkmark if you checked all the done buttons

  • Hi Alicia,

We received similar feedback with our usability testing. We are always looking for ways to improve the products interface, but mostly at the will of the vendor. We have provided this feedback to them and will continue to look for ways to improve the user interface of the product. Thanks for the feedback!

  • The interface of Canvas isn't something we can change. Sorry about that.
